In December, West Cork Irish Whiskey was represented at Bord Bia’s Trade Reception at the Irish Embassy in Paris. The event brought together Irish producers, industry leaders and key French buyers in a festive and welcoming setting.
Hosted by the Irish Ambassador to France in collaboration with Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board, the reception took place at the Irish Embassy on Avenue Foch, just a short distance from the Arc de Triomphe. It provided an important opportunity for professional networking during the Christmas season.
The evening was also attended by Noel Grealish, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, highlighting the continued importance of international markets for Irish food and drink.
During the reception, West Cork Irish Whiskey met with buyers from both the French on-trade and off-trade, including representatives from Carrefour and Intercavès. Discussions focused on strengthening existing relationships, reviewing current listed products, and exploring opportunities for new listings in the French market.
Events such as Bord Bia’s Trade Reception play a valuable role in supporting long-term growth. They create space for meaningful conversations in a relaxed environment, allowing relationships to develop naturally and sustainably.
For West Cork Irish Whiskey, the evening marked a positive close to the year and reinforced the brand’s ongoing commitment to building its presence in France.
