West Cork Irish Whiskey takes a trip to Calves Week in Schull

At West Cork Irish Whiskey , we were thrilled to attend Calves Week, a local sailing regatta in the beautiful seaside village of Schull in West Cork. It ran from Tuesday August 8th to Friday August 11th 2023. The sailing started in Schull and went around the famous Fastnet lighthouse with hundreds of people flocking to see the annual tradition in West Cork. To showcase West Cork Irish Whiskey to all the sailors and visitors alike, we had a brilliant billboard in Bantry and also a digital billboard in Schull which welcomed people West – “Where Whiskey Is Best”. Featuring the best in west cork music, Le Boom finished off the week in style!

The week commenced with a drinks reception on the August Bank Holiday Monday in the Schull Harbour Sailing Centre to bring together whiskey enthusiasts and curious newcomers and of course to start the week off with a boom! At the event we, our bar was well stocked with our ranges including the popular West Cork Bourbon Cask Irish Whiskey giving all Whiskey drinkers a chance to familiarise with our delightful ranges. Attendees were also invited to taste our unique signature whiskey cocktail the West Cork Highball by just adding tonic, ice and a slice!

To celebrate the hugely successful week, on the final night Saturday the 12th of August the band ‘LE BOOM’ joined us in the Townhouse O D’s for a night full of high notes and West Cork Highballs. It was a massive boom and our whiskey went down a treat with the evening of music. It was definitely a worthwhile time spent in the heart of West Cork promoting our West Cork Bourbon Cask Irish Whiskey in the local bars and area, building valuable relationships and creating bonds that will last a lifetime!
